The knowledge of the nature of finance, their functioning features, the capabilities of the category mechanism in the effective development of social production are necessary in the preparation of qualified specialists for the financial system.
      The discipline is designed in accordance with the state standard of postgraduate education and therefore it is consistently correlated with the study of other disciplines of the vocational training program provided by curriculum in the specialty "Finance". The study of this discipline is preceded by the general theoretical discipline "Finance", which is taught in the bachelor's degree.
      For studying there are presented the main aspects of finance which are theoretical bases, forms of organization, practical application, that allows postgraduates to understand the essence of this economic category, its role and the significance in the reproduction processes and socio-economic development of society. At the same time, there is expected the reference to the current economic practice on the application of market mechanisms in the economy and finance, and to pay attention to the ongoing processes of development of market relations and their impact on finance.       Brief description of the course: The discipline «Monetary policy» covers the problems of regulating monetary and credit relations in the society. In particular, the main theoretical concepts of monetary policy and its transmission mechanism, organizational and institutional foundations of monetary policy, regimes, methods and instruments of monetary policy, the fundamentals of anti-inflation regulation and inflation targeting are considered. Particular attention is paid to the peculiarities of the monetary policy of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
      Expected results:
      - mastering knowledge of the functioning of monetary systems, their characteristics at the present stage of the economy globalization, the mechanism of modern monetary and credit regulation;
      - obtaining practical skills in the application of methods and instruments of monetary policy, as well as to solve specific issues related to the conduct of monetary policy;
      - the ability to analyze the indicators and processes that take place in the economy and are the object and result of monetary regulation.
