We are a member of several international organizations, including International Association of Universities, the European Association of Universities, the Association of educational institutions EdNet, Council of cooperative universities and other CIS countries. |
Karaganda Economic University is actively cooperating with international organizations and their representative offices in Kazakhstan. In particular, the program includes the European Union Erasmus +, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), British Council Partner Program Newton Al-Farabi. Every year the geography of the international cooperation of our university increases and it also applies to areas of academic mobility, joint research, participation in international programs.
The International Cooperation in Karaganda Economical University is carrying out in the following directions:
1. Development of University International Relations.
The University is a member of several international organizations, in particular:
- International Association of Universities (IAU)
- Association of Educational Establishments Educational Network (EdNet)
- Board of Cooperative universities of the CIS countries.
The University actively cooperates with international organizations and their missions in Kazakhstan, in particular, Erasmus Mundus, German Academic Exchange Service DAAD, Information and Education Centre Bilim – Central Asia, Education First Academic program, Kazakhstan Council for Education Travel, CCUSA Kazakhstan , AIESEC.
In 2006 in Bologna (Italy) signed a "Magna Charta of European Universities".

University is a one of the parent university of Shanghai Cooperation Organization network of universities in the direction of IT-technologies.
On the basis of KEU open only regional center delivery of an international test of English language IELTS, the British Council, is setting groups.
2. Implementation of joint projects with the foreign universities and international organizations.
These primarily include the draft program of European Union Tempus, by the implementation of which the University already has a good experience.
The recently completed a draft concept of interface competence "University - Entrepreneurship (the project coordinator from the university - Esenbaeva G.A.). In addition to that there have been major goals of the project during its implementation decided to organize a student exchange programs between participating universities.
Since 2007, KEU, together with the Eurasian National University and Karaganda State University participates in the TEMPUS "New educational programs in trade theory and econometrics" (the project coordinator - Kemelbaeva S.S.). Within the project in May 2007, in Trento (Italy) hosted a training seminar "Experience of distance learning in the educational system of EU member countries". In 2007-2008 at the University of Regensburg (Germany) KEU’s teachers attended the course "Theory of International Trade", which was introduced in the educational process in KEU for students and undergraduates. In February 2009, 5 master students the 1st and 2nd courses (Yugai Stanislav, Kulishin Michael, Te Alexander, Asanova Marina, Kuandykova Marjane) and 3 teachers (Kemelbaeva S.S., Esdaulet M.A., Emelina N. K.) attended a course on econometrics in the theory of trade at the Regensburg University. In the framework of the project has purchased computer equipment and software EViews to the amount of 19000 Euro. Currently, the project participants from KEU involved in conducting research and using EViews programs under the leadership of Regensburg University professors.
In the last academic year, KEU has started to participate in new projects of TEMPUS - Creation of public-interest of universities on the principle of "Research-Science-Production» PERSEUS (grant holder - University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) and the Central Asian Network for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (grant holder - University Vrizhe, Belgium) CANQA.
In the project PERSEUS, KEU serves as the National Coordinator. In the framework of the project held coordination meetings in which, issued coordinator of the project Kemelbaeva S.S.. Currently, the organizational work is carried out to establish under the Scientific and Educational Center KEU, Development Centre of applied research and innovation, with office equipment, which aims to "promote" the production and commercialization of scientific products of the university, as well as increased visibility and scientific credibility of KEU in region. Currently, the plan of action is developing on implementation of project in which we plan to take into account the strengths and weaknesses of the university in achieving the project objectives, as well as to develop concrete actions in this direction.
The project CANQA held 3 workshops, at two of which took part Ibrayeva A.M., in the third one - the project coordinator, director of the Center of Quality and Marketing Balmagambetova L.T.. At the present day is preparing for organization of training for university academic staff on quality assurance and accreditation.
Since last academic year, University joined the consortium of universities Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window Lot 9, it consists only 3 universities of Kazakhstan.
3. The organization of student exchange.
In the last academic year, KEU for the first time tested practice of exchange students - third year student Kenzhebekova Madina, Fust Victoria, Khasanova Dina and Esekina Ainura studied during the semester on exchange at the University of Applied Sciences Carinthia (Fillah, Austria).
Currently in the process of signing an agreement on the organization of student exchange with the International Business School Solbridge (South Korea), Cheboksary Cooperative Institute, Tashkent public / Economic University, the Tajik State University of Commerce, Belgorod University of Consumer Cooperation.
4. Student participation in international competitions and grant programs
For 3 years the attention of university students were presented over 100 competitive and scholarship programs, at the best of which students involve every year: the International Internet Competition "Scholars of the planet" (Moscow), Business Case Competition at High School of Economics (Moscow) , International Online Competition on "Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, conducted by St. Petersburg University of Economics and Finance, Winter academic and career-oriented schools, conducted by SU-HSE in “Economics”, “Management” , “ Business Informatics” and “Sociology”.
In March 2010, in KEU was the Olympics of SU-HSE for students and pupils of Kazakhstan for grants to study in the bachelor and master.
5. The implementation of a joint master's program with the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Moscow)
In accordance with an order of Ministry of Education and Science of the RK № 113 on March 7, 2008 Karaganda economical university was allowed to conduct experiments for the preparation of Masters by Russian educational program with the diploma of Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. The program is realizing during the 2 years, there are 1st and 2nd year graduate students, in total 33 persons.
6. Organization of scientific and methodical training of teachers at the partner universities.
During the 2009-2010 academic years will be the implementation of complex training of teachers at the Russian partner universities (Moscow Law Academy, the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, State University - High School of Economics (Moscow), University of Regensburg (Germany), and International Business School Solbridge (South Korea).
7. Invite foreign scholars to give lectures and special courses for KEU’s teachers and business environment.
In June 2008, took a course “Management of organizations that implement distance education”. The course was read by Antropov M.S., Ph.D., MBA (The Open University Business School (UK), executive program of Harvard Business School, associate professor of information technology in formation of PFUR, deputy director of the International Programs of Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Director of Russian Association of entrepreneurship training, scientific director of the High School of Business Informatics of SU-HSE and professor of MBA Institute of Business and Finance "Synergy" (G.V. Plekhanov REA), SU-HSE. As a result of the course 50 teachers and academic staff have received PFUR’s Certificates on the training.
In June 2009, in KEU took a course on globalization in the modern world, Professor of the Scranton University (USA), Dr. Midori Yamanochi.
In July 2009, held a seminar on M.S. Antropov for teachers of our University on the theme "Leadership for change and renewal organization in the period of global recession" lasting 30 hours.
In December, KEU passed a series of lectures R.M. Nureyev - professor of SU- High School of Economics (Moscow) - honored worker of High School of RF, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Head of the Department of Economic Theory SU-HSE, Head of the National Economics Department, G.V. Plekhanov REA, a member of the European Association for research and educational institutions on development (EADI), party conferences on public choice (PCS) and the International Society for New Institutional Economics (ISNIE), participant of international research projects and conferences on Public Choice (PCS).
In January 2010, in KEU held 2 seminars of M.S. Antropov (Institute of Business and Finance "Synergy" (G.V. Plekhanov REA): seminar “Leading Change and Organizational Renewal” lasting 8 hours and methodology workshop “Technologies of classes in management for various target audiences of students” duration 8 hours.
