On February 25, 2026, our university hosted the regional Olympiad in computer science among students in grades 10-11 of secondary schools, organized jointly with the Regional Scientific and Practical Center "Saryarka Daryny" of the Department of Education of the Karaganda region.
More than 20 schools of the region took part in the Olympiad, the total number of participants was 148 students.
On February 21, 2026, Yerlan Undasinov, a student of the Educational Program “Judicial and Law Enforcement Activities” (group SPD 22-2) of our University, successfully competed at the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kyokushinkai karate, winning an honorable 2nd place and достойно representing the University in strong competition. Earlier, at the regional championship, the athlete confidently took 1st place, demonstrating a high level of preparation, skill, and determination. Following the competition, he was awarded a diploma, cup, and medal. These high results are the outcome of the student’s consistent work, discipline, and perseverance. Based on his performance, Yerlan has once again been included in the national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The next important stage for the athlete will be participation in the Asian Championship to be held in Indonesia. This is a significant achievement both for the student and for the University. The University congratulates Yerlan Undasinov on his outstanding sporting achievements and is proud of his success! We express our sincere gratitude to the coaches, mentors, and everyone who supports the student on his path to new victories.
An informational and explanatory meeting was held at Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz with the participation of students and academic staff, attended by representatives of the National Coalition “For the People’s Constitution of a Fair and Progressive Kazakhstan.” The event focused on discussing the country’s strategic development priorities. Members of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan — Смагулов Б.А. and Калыков А.К. — as well as deputies of the Karaganda regional and city maslikhats, took part in the meeting. During the session, participants were presented with the key provisions of the draft Constitution and its proposed amendments. It was emphasized that the document strengthens guarantees of human rights and freedoms, formalizes digital security issues at the state level, reflects updates in the system of governance. The speakers highlighted the importance of the upcoming referendum scheduled for March 15, noting that citizens’ active participation plays a crucial role in shaping the country’s future development trajectory.
On 20 February 2026, a round table entitled “Internet Fraud: Prevention and Responsibility” was successfully held at Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. The event aimed to enhance students’ legal awareness and develop digital security skills among young people.
Students and members of the academic staff actively participated in the discussion. The round table addressed current internet fraud schemes, practical aspects of their detection, as well as effective preventive measures and methods for protecting citizens in the digital environment.

As part of the 60th anniversary celebration of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz and the event series “University and Region: 60 Years of Joint Growth,” an off-site training session was held on February 19, 2026, for students of the Educational Programs “Logistics” and “Marketing” at the premises of the department’s long-term partner, TM-Logistic LLP.
Students from groups Log-23-2, Log-24-4s, Log-24-2, MK-23-2, and MK-24-4s took part in the event. The company director, V.N. Kulikov, delivered a lecture and provided a practical demonstration of business processes, highlighting modern logistics practices, their interconnection with marketing, and their role in creating customer value.
The session was supervised by lecturers A.K. Sadykova and E.A. Krasnoshchekova.
Such events contribute to strengthening the university’s partnership with the regional business community, developing students’ practice-oriented competencies, and improving the quality of professional training for future specialists.
