Our university shares its experience in implementing international projects using the example of Erasmus+ Jean Monnet “SOLUTION”.

In recent years, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz has confidently maintained its status as a leader in the number of successful applications within Jean Monnet projects!

That is why the organizers invited our specialists to share their practical experience in preparing applications.

The experience of our university in this area was presented at the Erasmus+ Regional Day by the head of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet grant project “GENDER ISSUE IN MIGRATION: EUROPEAN APPROACH” (101176925-SOLUTION-ERASMUS-JMO-2024-HEI-TCH-RSCH), Associate Professor Saya Tursynovna Abeuova, with a report titled “Best Practices in Implementing Jean Monnet Projects and Recommendations for Preparing Competitive Applications.” Conference participants received practical advice and strategies that help us win prestigious European competitions.

In addition, our university at this significant event was represented by experts directly involved in the implementation of international initiatives and actively participating in Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects and the Jean Monnet strand.

International Round Table “Gender Agenda in Migration” within the framework of the project “Gender Aspects of External Migration and Adaptation of Migrants in Kazakhstan” (Grant No. AR26103509)

An international round table titled “Gender Agenda in Migration” was held at Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.

The meeting took place within the framework of the research project under grant No. AR26103509 “Gender Aspects of External Migration and Adaptation of Migrants in Kazakhstan,” funded by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The round table brought together experts from various countries—from Portugal and Germany, Latvia and Ukraine to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan—to discuss tectonic shifts in migration processes in Central Asia. Special appreciation is extended to our speakers—Elena Chukurna, representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the BOMCA Programme—for practical case studies and in-depth analysis of the situation at the borders.

It is particularly valuable that this project not only identifies problems but also seeks growth points: how women’s entrepreneurship in rural tourism and digital transformation can turn forced migration into conscious talent mobility. The logical conclusion of this discussion was a look into a “green” future: how the principles of the circular economy open new niches for women in sustainable business.
