An Anti-Corruption Intellectual Game Held at the University

On April 24, 2026, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz hosted an intellectual situational game titled «Honor and Anti-Corruption Culture», aimed at fostering an anti-corruption culture among students.

The event was organized to develop critical thinking, enhance legal awareness, and build skills in identifying corruption-related offenses.

The participants included 2nd and 3rd-year students of the college and the university. During the game, students were offered situational case studies requiring the application of knowledge in anti-corruption legislation, as well as administrative and criminal law. In the final stage, the teams presented their own solutions to current challenges in combating corruption.

According to the results of the competition:
1st place – students of the Department of General Legal and Special Disciplines;
2nd place – team of the College of Economics, Business and Law;
3rd place – students of the Department of Legal Regulation of Economic Relations.

Summarizing the results, representatives of the compliance service, who organized the event, addressed the participants with the following message:
“Live honestly, think transparently. The future of our country is built on the principles of justice and law.”

Such events contribute to the development of устойчивого anti-corruption awareness and an active civic position among youth.

Republican Student Olympiad in Social Work – 2026

On April 17, 2026, the 18th Republican Student Subject Olympiad in the educational program 6B11404 «Social Work» was held at Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. The event was organized by the academic staff of the Department of Psychology, Pedagogy, and Social Work.

Teams representing the following higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the Olympiad: Esil University, Abai Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau University, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, and Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University.

The Olympiad became an important platform for demonstrating professional knowledge, exchanging experience, and developing the competencies of future specialists in the field of social work. The participants demonstrated a high level of preparation, analytical thinking, and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge when solving practice-oriented cases and developing social initiatives.

Strengthening Partnerships Between Universities: The “Visiting Professor” Program

The Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation is one of the strategically important partners of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.
From March 30 to April 11, 2026, the Head of the Department of Accounting and Audit, Doctor of Economic Sciences Berezyuk V.I., visited the Financial University (Moscow) within the framework of the “Visiting Professor” program to deliver lectures and conduct seminars for undergraduate and graduate students of the Faculty of Taxes, Audit, and Business Analysis.
The visit of Berezyuk V.I. contributed to the expansion and deepening of further mutual cooperation between our universities and created a solid foundation for successful development and achieving new heights in scientific and educational activities.

Open Day – 2026

On April 17, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz held an Open Day as part of the events dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the University. The event was attended by more than 1,000 school students from the city and the region.

The purpose of the event was to introduce prospective applicants to the University’s educational opportunities, learning conditions, and career prospects.

Throughout the day, a rich career guidance program was organized for the students, including presentations of academic programs, meetings with faculty members and students, консультации on admission, as well as interactive faculty zones. These zones allowed school students to explore study areas, participate in master classes, communicate directly with faculty and students, and gain practical insights into their future professions. Participants also received information about the University’s modern infrastructure, academic mobility, and opportunities for personal development.

All planned activities were carried out in full and at a high organizational level.

Holding the Open Day in the юбилейный year highlights the University’s openness, its commitment to development, and strengthening cooperation with regional schools, helping students make informed career choices.

On State Policy in the Field of Interethnic Relations

On April 17, 2026, an informational meeting was held at Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz with the participation of the regional information and explanatory group of the Internal Policy Department of the Karaganda Region.

The event was organized for students of the “International Relations” educational program and was dedicated to the implementation of state policy in the field of interethnic relations. The meeting was attended by representatives of the House of Friendship of Karaganda, highlighting the importance of institutional support for interethnic dialogue and social cohesion in the region.

During the event, key issues related to strengthening interethnic harmony, ensuring social stability, promoting a culture of tolerance, and fostering interaction among different ethnic groups were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the role of public associations and state institutions in implementing policies of social cohesion.

– Gulnara Kaliyevna Kasembayeva — Deputy Director of the Public Institution “Qogamdyq Kelisim”.
