On February 21, 2025, our university hosted the Regional Geography Olympiad for students in grades 9-11 of schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, and colleges in the city of Karaganda and the Karaganda region. More than 170 students took part in the Olympiad.
The purpose of the annual intellectual competition among schoolchildren is to popularize geography as a science and to assist students in their professional orientation.
The general methodological, organizational and informational support of the event was provided by the Department of Tourism and Restaurant Business.
The jury is made up of representatives of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.
Congratulations to the winners and runners-up who showed a high level of preparation!

On March 3, 2025, a meeting was held at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz with representatives of AMIRSANA 2000, one of the largest suppliers of workwear, footwear and personal protective equipment in Kazakhstan. The company has been successfully operating in the market for more than 30 years, providing products to enterprises in various industries, including industry, construction and medicine.
As part of the cooperation with our university, AMIRSANA 2000 invited students of the Management, Marketing, and Logistics educational programs to complete internships and internships.
The representatives offered such valuable opportunities as:

The meeting aroused great interest among the students – they actively asked questions about the specifics of the company's work, career prospects and internship conditions. From March 11 to March 27, 2025, a series of training sessions will be held to enhance the qualifications of faculty members from partner universities in Central Asia. The training will take place at three leading European universities — in Naples (Italy), Bielefeld (Germany), and Santiago de Compostela (Spain). Each university will host a four-day intensive program focused on experience exchange between European and Central Asian educators.
On February 18, 2025, a meeting of graduates studying under the state educational order with a representative of the Financial Center was held at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. The event was organized by the Career and Professional Development Center.
The Financial Center is a government organization that oversees and supports educational grants, as well as the implementation of financial programs in the field of higher education. Its main tasks are:
monitoring the fulfillment of obligations related to the development of an educational grant;
information support for graduates on employment issues;
interaction with government agencies, including eGov and the 1414 system;
During the meeting, the representative of the Serikkali Financial Center, A.S., explained in detail to the students all aspects of grant processing, control mechanisms and possible exceptions. Students actively asked questions about the terms, conditions, and career prospects after graduation.
We would like to thank the Financial Center for organizing and conducting explanatory events for students. Such meetings play an important role in informing students about the mechanism of working out educational grants, interaction with government agencies and employment opportunities.
