Modern approaches to career guidance: exchange of experience at the conference

On March 14, 2025, the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz hosted the conference "ProfStart: prospects and opportunities" with the participation of representatives of organizations of the Karaganda region.

The conference is organized by the Center for Professional Guidance and Public Relations of the University in cooperation with the State Institution "Department of Education of the Karaganda region" and the Samga academy educational center.

The conference discussed current changes in career guidance, effective strategies for interacting with potential applicants, new technologies and career guidance tools, and considered theoretical and practical issues of organizing joint career guidance.

The Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, Professor G.E. Nakipova, delivered a welcoming speech.

Babur Adilkhan, an invited coach, expert in the field of self-development and Gallup test, gave practical recommendations and analysis-consultations of the tests conducted to determine the professional orientation of applicants. During the conference, the university established contacts with invited experts, the directors of the main schools, and the methodologists of the education departments. Agreements have been reached on further cooperation and exchange of experience.

Abilov Kosman Zhakupaevich - colleague, friend, teacher

On March 13, 2025, a significant event took place at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz — the opening of a named auditorium in memory of an outstanding scientist and teacher, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Abilov Kosman Zhakupaevich.

This is not just an audience, but a symbol of respect and recognition of his great contribution to science and education. Many students and colleagues remember him as a wise mentor who left a bright mark on the development of the university.

The event was attended by the rector of the University Aimagambetov Yerkara Balkaraevich, the professor's family, colleagues and students who were able to recall the most vivid moments from the life and work of Kosman Zhakupaevich.We have opened not just a room, but a place that will inspire future generations to achieve scientific achievements. There is a personalized stand and a Memory Corner in the auditorium, where photographs and publications about the professor's life and works are presented.

Professor Abilov Kosman Zhakupaevich will forever remain in our hearts as an outstanding scientist and teacher. His work and scientific legacy will inspire students and teachers for many years to come.

Assemblies of the People of Kazakhstan: important steps towards social justice and sustainable development

On March 13, 2025, our university hosted an international scientific and practical conference on "Social justice - the basis of sustainable development, stability and prosperity of society", dedicated to the significant date – the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.

The conference was attended by leading scientists and public figures from Kazakhstan, Russia, Bulgaria and other countries. The Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, continues to be an important institution contributing to the creation of a unique model of interethnic and interfaith harmony in Kazakhstan.

The conference participants developed a number of recommendations aimed at further strengthening national unity, harmonizing interethnic relations and developing mechanisms of social justice, which are key to the sustainable prosperity of our society.

We would like to thank all the participants for their active participation, productive work and valuable contribution to the development of scientific and public dialogue.

Informal learning in action: successful completion of courses

Advanced training courses for teachers and staff of the Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Barimbek Beisenov have been successfully completed at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. The program included two areas: "Management in higher education" and "Teaching skills in higher education", aimed at developing the professional competencies of teachers.

These courses are organized by the University's Career and Professional Development Center as part of the development of non-formal education, which allows specialists to improve their knowledge and skills and meet modern educational requirements.

Forum at KAZPOTREBSOYUZ UNIVERSITY: discussion of working professions and cooperation with business

On March 5, 2025, our university hosted the regional forum "Education as a driver of sustainable development in the Karaganda region: recognition and popularization of working professions." The event was timed to coincide with the Year of Working Professions in Kazakhstan and brought together representatives of government, business, educational institutions and the expert community.
The main topic of the forum was the discussion of the training of qualified specialists, the demand for working professions in the labor market, as well as the possibilities of interaction between educational organizations, employers and government agencies. Special attention was paid to adjusting educational programs at colleges and universities in the region so that they better meet the needs of the real sector of the economy.
Among the participants of the forum were heads of large enterprises, deputies of various levels, representatives of government agencies, including Deputy akim of the region Alibek Aldeney, as well as teachers and experts in the field of education.
One of the important results of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the University and the Karaganda plant for the production of household appliances of Silk Road Electronics LLP. In addition, an agreement was reached to open a branch of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz on the territory of the corporate university of "QazTehna" LLP.
The Forum once again confirmed that the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz is a leading platform for dialogue between education, business and the state. The University continues to actively develop partnerships, introduce innovative approaches to education and make a significant contribution to the training of specialists for the economy of Kazakhstan.
