On 28th of February, 2018 the Department of Social work and the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan organized “A thousand fates – one nation” Round Table Talk devoted to the Thanksgiving Day which is observed in Kazakhstan.
The Round Table Talk was marked with active participation of Malayev, D.B. – the chief of the bureau of scientific-expertise maintenance and methodical provision of “Qogamdy kelisim” public institution of the Karagandinskaya region Akim’s staff; Khmelevskij V.A. – the chairman of “Polonius” Karaganda region community of Poles, a member of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan; Galutskaya L.A. – a moderator of social projects, “Wiedergeburg” Culture and Education Center.
Moreover, the KEU students Nazym Sakhatayeva, Tatyana Tsay, Makpal Erzhan, Veronika Tokareva presented their reports and original poems.
Karaganda Economic University holds seminars, lectures for students and undergraduates on the basics of the development of innovative projects. Our university is focused on the search, selection and development of start-up projects.
As part of the implementation of the start-up projects, Kurmanseit A. Director of the Youth Resource Center of Karaganda region, Office of Youth Policy of the Karaganda Region, Kurmanseit Akzhol Akhatuly conducted a lecture on the topic: "Using scientific methods from the idea to implementing start-up projects." Like any other project, a startup starts with an idea. In his speech, A.M. told how to realize the idea and create a product that attracts the consumer and investors.
On the part of the university lecturers, employees, students and undergraduates took part in the lecture. During the meeting, the participants were acquainted with the terms of the start-up projects, as well as existing programs for supporting start-up projects in Kazakhstan.
In addition to these startup lectures, students annually take part in Olympiads and competitions of Kazakhstan on the development of innovative projects.
The Enactus KEUK team took part in the Youth Entrepreneurship Forum and the Republican Training "Strategy and Planning of the Enactus Team" on February 23-24 of 2018 in Astana. They listened to interesting trainings, met with successful entrepreneurs and businessmen. 28 universities from Kazakhstan participated in this forum. Team Enactus KEUK got experience in entrepreneurship and teambuilding, as well as a lot of emotions and enthusiasm from other Enactus teams. There were interesting conversations and discussions with the speakers, also advices and instructions were given to the team for successful development. We want to express our gratitude to the rector of KEUK for such opportunity to participate in this forum.
Departments of the “Russian and Foreign languages” and “World Economy and International relations” of Karaganda Economic University hold an intellectual game “The Language Experts ” among pupils 11 classes of secondary general schools of Karaganda
Intellectual game began with a presentation about the University. The game was held in three rounds.
I round – Team presentation (in Kazakh, Russian, English languages)
II round - Jeopardy ( questions of the subjects History of Kazakhstan, world history, geography, literature)
III round – The staging of fairy tale (in Kazakh, Russian, English languages).
The intellectual game was very informative and essential. The students also got great impressions. According to the results of the game, participants were awarded with diplomas and certificates.
On February 23, 2018 the Department of Social Work and the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan held an inter-university round table talk on "Theory and methodology of preventive work on achievement of zero tolerance for religion related radical and extremist manifestations in the youth environment".
Representatives of all universities of the Karaganda region, leading religious scholars of the region, representatives of state authority, NGOs, students and teachers of the KEU, as well as the media participated in the round table.
The participants were especially interested in the reports of Trofimov, Y.F. - the religious scholar, professor of "Bolashak" Academy PI, Tasmaganbetova, A. T. - the head of the department for public events organization and work with the ANC structures of the apparatus of the Akim of the Karaganda region, Zhanabaeva, K.B. a specialist in “Victoria” rehabilitation center for the victims of the destructive religious splinter groups, etc.
Due to the certain relevance of the stated topic the round table talk participants held a lively discussion by the end of which a resolution of the Round Table talk was adopted.
In Karaganda economic University seminars for students on the basics of business development are held on a regular basis.
So in February 2018, the teacher of the Department of "Economics and entrepreneurship" Dr. PhD S. B. Baibosynov held a training seminar on the topic: "financial support of the project:- investment plan; - financial plan" for full-time students.
And in our University in the framework of participation in projects of the Fund "Damu" held a training seminar on "State support for business: forms and methods of support relevant programmes of assistance to business" with participation of Financial Advisor of the business service Center of JSC "entrepreneurship development Fund "Damu" Gaziz Aizada Sayatkyzy.
Students on real examples got acquainted with the state forms and methods of support, conditions of business opening in Kazakhstan, business support programs implemented by the national chamber of entrepreneurs and state authority.
The Karaganda economic university begins a set on the new educational program of bachelor the "State audit" from 2018-2019 school.
In the framework of the state audit, a new educational program "State Audit" has been opened at the Karaganda State University for the purpose of training qualified and qualified specialists who can use their knowledge in their practical activities.
Bachelor of Economics and Business Bachelor of Educational Programs "State Audit" can apply for professional activity in the following areas:
- Accounts Committee, which is the supreme body of state audit and financial control;
- Authorized body of internal state audit;
- Audit commissions of oblast, cities of republican significance;
- Internal audit services of central state bodies, local executive bodies of the region, cities of republican value.

The Department of Marketing and Logistics established a system of internal and external academic mobility, which is one of the strategic directions for the development of the department. In the first semester of the current year the master student of EP "Marketing" gr. MK-21ST Isabekova A. participated in the program of external academic mobility and studied at the University of Rome "RomeThree", the city of Rome, Italy.
Within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Karaganda Economic University and the Karaganda State Technical University, in the second semester of the 2017-2018 academic year, the students are taught by the faculty teachers in the disciplines "Merchandising Basics" and "Rules for the Transport of Goods and International Transport Transactions."
In order to familiarize students of KSTU with the educational environment of KEUK, the teacher of the Department of Marketing and Logistics, Tomashinova Aigerim Yerkenovna, initiated an excursion around the university. Students of the Polytechnic University were pleasantly surprised by the modern and developed infrastructure of the university, a rich library, ubiquitous access to Internet resources and Wi-Fi-zones. For a short period of time in KEUK our guests noted the friendly atmosphere of the university and the professionalism of the teachers.
Faculty of Business and Law of KEUK held a traditional Open Day for graduates of schools and colleges in Karaganda and our region.
The museum collections of KEUK aroused great interest among the graduates, where they got acquainted with the history of the University and its famous scientists. Many questions were asked by pupils who have visited a training and forensic testing ground, a product identification laboratory, a laboratory of expertise and quality of goods, a management cabinet and quality. In these classrooms, students of schools and colleges had an opportunity to learn some of the features of their future profession.
The guests visited the Student Service Center, where they were told about the digitalization of the process of providing public services, as well as the possibility of obtaining all kinds of public services through the e-gov.kz portal.
The event ended with a concert program, which included the best numbers performed by first-year students of the Faculty of Business and Law.
On the 20 of February, 2018 at 14.00 teacher of Russian and Foreign Languages Department Badelhan M.B. organized and held "Chinese New Year" with the participation of 1-3 year students of "International Relations" and "The World Economy" specialities.
During the event, students showed their excellent knowledge of the Chinese and Arabic languages and creative talents. Invited guests were able to get acquainted with the peculiarities of the Chinese New Year and traditional cuisine. At the event, the head of the Chinese Cultural Centre of Friendship House Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan Yang De Xi was invited.

March 3, 2018 the library of Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz held a meeting with Sergei An, the finalist of the project "100 new faces of Kazakhstan" representing the Karaganda region. The meeting was held within the framework of the explanatory work on the article of the Head of State "Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity" in order to popularize, especially among young people, our fellow countrymen who made a significant contribution to the development of the Republic for the years of its independence, those who with their own mind, hands and talent creates modern Kazakhstan.
