On November 3, 2018, the faculty of business and law held a career-oriented event "One day in the life of KEU students." The event was attended by 117 students from 15 schools.
According to the schedule, the students attended a lecture lesson at which the dean of the faculty delivered a welcoming speech; Creative teams and sports sections of the university were presented. Faculty activists and representatives of the student parliament told about the features of their student life and the conditions created at the university for the free development of young people in various spheres of public life.
The second lesson was conducted in accordance with the chosen direction of training in specialized classrooms by leading teachers of the university. In these classrooms, school students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with some of the features of their future profession. Special interest among the children was caused by such specialties as Finance, IT-Entrepreneurship, Management, International Relations, Law, Restaurants and Hospitality, Tourism.
The event ended at the university gym. For the guys who took with them sports uniforms, the teachers of the department of physical culture held a lesson in the gym.
Message from President of Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev to the people of Kazakhstan "Growth of welfare of Kazakhstan people: increase of income and quality of life" is actively studied in the educational process of our University. What are the trends in the development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and how can contribute to the prosperity of the country's youth, how to become a competitive specialist – these and other equally important issues are discussed in the student community and on curatorial hours. Thus, the 2nd year undergraduates of the specialty "Jurisprudence" Kinsfater Arthur and Fedoseeva Ekaterina on October 31, 2018 held an open curatorial hour, which was preceded by an essay contest in the directions of the Message of the President of Kazakhstan.
As part of the event, the faculty of business and law summed up the results of the essay contest on the topics: "My choice – public service", "Modernization of the judicial system of the Republic of Kazakhstan: new approaches", "my innovative business ideas in the light of the adoption of the program "business Road map-2020"," Civil position of a modern lawyer"," youth Support-the priority of social policy of Kazakhstan". As the best essay considered by student of group Y-18s Agayev Arastun on the theme "My choice – public service".
Also at the curatorial hour between students of groups Yu-14, Yu-15, Yu-17s and Yu-18s was held intellectual game "tournament of experts", aimed at identifying the level of knowledge of the Message of students. The winners were students of the group Yu-14.
From October 24 to October 25, 2018 at the Eurasian National University. L. Gumilev (Astana) hosted the Exhibition of projects of the European Commission Erasmus + on the topic: "The role of Erasmus + projects in the modernization of higher education in Kazakhstan."
The aim of the exhibition was to familiarize a wide range of stakeholders with the results of Erasmus + projects to enhance their multiplier effect.
The participants of the exhibition were members of the teams of current and completed EPRSM + projects in Kazakhstan, including the Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz with the project Establishment of Centers of competence and employability development - COMPLETE.
"There is a deep logic of switching to Latin alphabet. This is due to the modern technological environment, communications and scientific and educational process in the XXI century – President N. Nazarbayev said in one of the articles of ‘Rukhani zhangyru’ program.
This year, a new Kazakh alphabet based on Latin graphics was adopted. Aiming to promote it, on October 26, 2018, Department of ‘Kazakh language and culture of Kazakhstan’ held an action ‘Latyn alipbiimen tanysaiyk’ (Introducing Latin alphabet) in ‘Tair’ shopping center.
The event was actively attended by city residents who came to there, many young people were among them. They tried to write their names, sentences, participated in competitions on the speed and correctness of writing words in Latin. Everyone received prizes and gifts.
Participants of the event expressed confidence that every citizen of Kazakhstan can successfully cope with the switching of Kazakh language to the Latin alphabet.
On October 27, 2018, the Department of Ecology and Assessment held an annual intellectual game “I am an ecologist”. The event was attended by 37 schools (132 students in total). This year the game was held on a regional scale, as pupils of 9-11 grades in Balkhash, Zhezkazgan, as well as Saran, Abay, Topar, schools of Bukhar-Zhirau district, etc., became its participants.

The captain of the Enactus KEUK team, Bolsynov Zhalgaskhan, from October 27-28, visited the youth business forum “Youth and Entrepreneurship: Vectors of Development” in Taraz, and also helped to organize the event. The youth business forum has become a dialogue platform for Enactus youth activists who presented the best ideas and projects in the field of social entrepreneurship and business.
Teachers of the department of general legal and special disciplines Adilbekova K.K., Akhmetova K.S., Dzhaksybayeva G.M., Kulibek A.B. and the students of the Y-21k group, Omen Omirbek and Alkenova Zhannur, met with students of the graduation groups of the College of Business Economics and Law KEUK (exactly Kazakh branch). During the meeting, teachers clarified the procedure for admission to university, preparation for entrance exams, etc. Trial testing of students in the format of test tasks of KTA was conducted. The students talked about their student life, as well as about the opportunities that the university has for active and creative students.
October 22, 2018 in the Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz within the Decade of the department "Marketing and Logistics" held a round table with the participation of employers and students.
The Faculty of Business and Law, together with the Office of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Records of the General Prosecutor's Office in the Karaganda region, on October 23, 2018, a seminar on the work of information systems was held for KEUK students: “Criminal Offense Cards” , “Cards of criminal offenses committed by minors”, “Cards of perpetrators of sexual assault against minors”.
On the 20th of October, 2018 Department of Russian and Foreign languages organized and held language contest ‘Multilingual graduates’ among pupils. 74 people from 22 schools of the city of Saran, Karaganda, Kokpekty and Baikadam villages of Bukharzhyrau district took part in the competition. The contest was held in two rounds: lexical-grammatical test and presentation.
