The International Forum brought together scientists and representatives of the financial sector

On June 11, 2026, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz hosted the annual International Forum bringing together scholars, representatives of academia, and experts from the financial and banking sectors of Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, and Uzbekistan.

The event was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the University and served as a platform for discussing sustainable development of the financial and economic system in the context of digital transformation, global challenges, and the growing implementation of artificial intelligence technologies.

The Forum was attended by representatives of leading universities from Kazakhstan and abroad, government agencies, financial institutions, professional associations, as well as faculty members, young researchers, doctoral and master's students, undergraduate students, and alumni of the Finance educational program.

The discussions focused on the impact of artificial intelligence on the financial sector, the development of digital financial technologies, improvement of fiscal policy, training of next-generation specialists, and modernization of educational programs in line with current labor market requirements.

As a result of the Forum, participants developed recommendations aimed at strengthening cooperation between academia, education, and business, improving the training of finance professionals, and expanding international collaboration between universities and representatives of the financial and economic sectors.

As part of the Forum, a scientific seminar, an open meeting of the Department's Student Research Society, and an International Competition of Qualification Works entitled “Modern Drivers of Sustainable Development of the Financial and Economic System in the Context of the Emerging World Order, Systemic Risks, and Digitalization” were held. The winners of the competition were awarded diplomas of various degrees.
